I've never properly fully listened to a carti album, but this is incredible. Playboi carti's self titled album is banger after banger, with incredible production, great use of carti's voice on this album. One of my favorite mixtapes, this album is what the defintion of joy should be based on, Best tracks: Location, Magnolia, wokeuplikethis, Yah Mean and Flex (10/10), Worst Track: Other Shit (8.4/10). Overall amazing mixtape with iconic songs, definitely a classic staple. 9.5/10.
my comfort album, i love every song, love every beat, love every single piece of lyricism too be handed on this thing, earl is a poet, fuck you if you disagree.
My first time listening to this artist and i am pleasantly suprised. "One Man Band" offers ethereal production throughout the entire project especially through the first and last track on the project. In the first half of the project i found seventhirty's rapping style to be boring, but in the second half I really started to like it as it matched the beat. Overall a good and sometimes great project. Best track: Boddy (8.3/10), Worst track: 40MGS (7/10). A underground artist to ... read more
Jalen Ngonda's revives 70s soul with his new record "Doctrine of Love" and this shit hit my heart hard. I adore every track on this album and Jalen has an incredible voice accompanied by incredible instrumentals, definitely a highlight of this year and a top 5 record currently. Best track: Anyone In Love (9.8/10), Worst track: Good Good Love (8.7/10). Phenomenal album.
Malcom Todd's new record "Do That Again" shows Malcom being horny and yearning for about 35 minutes with solid production. Overall good album, Best track: I Saw Your Face (8.4/10), Worst track: Good Bye (7/10).
Vince returns with a new project and it is clear he is trying to push a message. Easily one of my favourite albums to release this year, every track just hits hard and Vince clearly explains the purpose of this album throughout. Favourite song: Blackberry marmalade (9.8/10) least favourite: the big bad wolf (8.4/10).
Pg Lang's newest signing shows great production, catchy songs and and an artist with a beautiful voice. Imani has a chance to go far with her career if this is her debut album.
Better then take care, a couple mid tracks but overall, the production is great, the flows are decent, and the features are cool.
Drake's debut album is a massive step up from so far gone, this album makes me feel good and drake learned to drop the boring flow.
A serious slog to get through, an hour of boring songs the only track i like is "lets call it off". Drake consistently uses the same flow.
never heard aggressive cloud rap in my life as i normally associate cloud rap with relaxation, but this shit is hard as hell, the production is godly and okgutta's flow is insane and i love the level of aggression he brings to tracks like "i do homicides instead of sleeping" "the man i killed has been haunting me" and "i banished a man to the nether". Incredible hidden gem.
the second half this is much better then the first, some good stand out tracks like faculty and one trick, a few forgettable ones like township and see through but overall a pretty good tape, great production and the lyrics are fine.
Just found this album through album of the years recommendations, didn't know anything about it until i learn that the person who created this project passed away shortly after the release of it. The vocals are a bit quite but thats fine because its immediately out shadowed by the incredible instrumentals on this album. Rest in peace, a talent gone too soon.
pretty instrumental, not to crazy on the vocals. all together makes a decent ep.
greatest album of all time, greatest artist of all time, greatest production time, omega weapon is the greatest instrumental of all time, devon had to do another version of it. 10/10. Best Track: Omega Weapon (10/10) Worst Track: Neon Kitchen (10/10)
