While The Beatles' debut does not offer much of the profound lyricism or groundbreaking experimentation that would be featured in their later albums, it was still a great album for its time with tracks that still hold up today. This album is extremely boring and suffers from essentially every song sounding the same. For the most part, nothing on the album is offensively bad, but none of it is good either. Whenever a chorus or production choice sounds good, Taylor craps all over it with some truly awful and corny lyrics, like on the title track.
