A well flowing album that gives me a feeling of reassurance in the confusion of growing up.
Questioning the use of our past years and uncertainty of the future.
Lots of sounds and ideas that are trying to take front stage and it works with its hiccups. Eyes peeled for future projects.
We have stepped over the precipice of tongue and cheek(face) music writing, into goober music that I just couldn't take seriously.
The exhaustion I felt when BMTH started sliding in this direction crept over me the moment I hit play. I see who produced it and I get why. Like the Jack Antonoff of metal producers. We take all metalcore that came before us, polish it even more, add generic djent riffs and corny lyrics. Stick all of this into a Liquid Death can and shake it up and watch the "where my hug at" metal guys come running.
In and out leaving no crumbs. Sax got me stank faced.
I mean yeah it’s a Full of Hell EP. Instantly grappled me and pulled me into its crunchy, nasty wall of sound. RIP Joan of Arc, you would have loved Full of Hell.
Melancholy and sweet. Makes me feel like a overcast day at the beach; thinking about the joys and sorrows of life.
I was ready; I was ready for a post- “holy shit we got featured in a Taco Bell commercial” album and semi got it. High-budget production doesn’t necessarily mean sterilization, even though if often does.
While not every song stands out, as a whole, NEVER ENOUGH is a solid addition to their discography. They have the label ‘fuck u’ money to experiment with style, all while playing dance riffs that mirror the standard Turnstile style of hardcore.
I like his 2024 project more. This eventually becomes wallpaper of sound.
A gentle and atmospheric album isn’t something everyone will be into but I find myself throwing it on from time to time. The low drone that lulls throughout the songs as they progress, accompanied by dancing melodies, let me fade in and out along with the music. I always feel so calm listening to this.
I get the hype I really do, it’s just not flower boy to me. Love the flow throughout but the songs individually didn’t give me everything I was looking for.
Did not think I would like this as much as I did. The Poison Touch pulled me in though, kept me with the vocals and screaming, yet passionate guitar solos.
