Never have I bothered to listen to his music before this and all I gotta say is, No. Almost 99% of the time the dude don’t know what flow is, quality is shit most of the album and he dosent exactly seem to have any remorse for what he has done. I’m not giving any bias towards his situation just rating the pure music and the music given on this 20 song long track list is not good.
Before I start anything production on this album was great, Wheezy was cooking with this but i have never been the biggest fan of young thug, I wasn’t a hater by any means just wasn’t huge on him. I finally decided to give an album a full length listen and eh. It is a crime what he did to the amazing final track he had with travis and cole, Such a great thing for him to attempt to sing on at the end of it, ruined the whole song. Overall it was ok, I was more excited for the features ... read more
Songs were really just dragged on too long, I feel the soundtrack was rushed in a way and there are a few standout performances then and there, 21 savage does great as well as don toliver when they both make their appearances, My goat JID of course had a great performance and rocky did good as well. Others were just mediocre and the songs were stretched out too much, Overall just dosent feel like it was fully cared for.
Its been a minute since I reviewed a terrible underground album, Has not been long enough though. Actually straight garbage that entered my ears here for 23 minutes straight, Not a single song even considered listenable, The more people listen to this the more peoples standards drop on what is considered good music. Production was awful except for like 2 songs and even on those songs Xavier fucks it up with his whispering repetitive vocals. There are good people in the underground, This is not.
May I say how STRONG the start of this album is, I would say the decline starts near the 3rd quarter of the album but honestly everything before it was damn near a masterpiece, Such phenomenal rapping and production from peggy really showing the skills he has accumulated, I was hoping to give this higher but I just cant with the album decline.
Upcoming, I love a lot of songs from this album. There are very high highs, but at the same time very low lows. There are some crazy standout tracks that I will definitely come back to. But there was a lot of songs of this album. I was not fucking with. Here’s what I do see with Protect though. I believe this is an up-and-coming for a next big underground artist, such as where Osamason is at the moment. all I am saying is to keep an eye on this guy.
Okay before this starts I would like to claim I do not give a fuck if 4batz is an industry plant, I listen to this album at a very dark time so I will see how my opinion on this ages but for now I thought this was great I believe the end of it ended very weak and I was fully ready to give this album a very very high score from the alternative R&B of this album to the overall just different sound I honestly loved it it gave a refreshing experience to this kind of newish music, everyone hates ... read more
Holy this was terrible, I knew this album was going to have very low reviews early on because of kendrick glazers but I decided to give this entire album a listen and it was a CHALLENGE. Drake was the best part of this album, Only on his singles though when he was snapping. There were certain songs with drake singing I enjoyed but it was ware and usually just ruined my partynextdoor, Speaking of PND actually RUINS this album. The single individual song I enjoyed his presence on was ... read more
wtf happened??? they were on such a good trilogy run with the beat series and just out of no where dropped this absolute trash of an album, I have a feeling it may of been a lack of jid and earthgang but at the same time the features were far worse and production was bland.
such a jumping improvement from the last one to this, the features were a lot better, and overall the chemistry felt way more built after the whole trilogy was done. It is sad to know most this spillage village is gone and doing their own projects, but it is nice. The legacy left from them.
As a die hard jid fan when I found out about this mixtape I was very surprised, And obviously it’s not up with all of their work today, Earthgang and jid have improved so much over the years but this is still not terrible it’s just kinda eh.
I have never been so impressed with an album from a first listen, From beginning to end my listening experience of this album was phenomenal. The pure vocal performance from daniel on this album is nothing short from jaw dropping, production is always on point and perfect for the song a long with all of the amazing features with the standout EASILY being kali uchis on the opening track. Such a well put together album, I have been sleeping on this man
The production on this album fucking blew me away, I'm not gonna be like these corny 13 year old's but I did hope to see the presence of carti on this album a little more as they seemed to be hinting towards it near the buildup of the album. I believe he might be on the digital deluxe but no news on that as of now. To the album now though, the performance from the weeknd/abel is astonishing along with the incredible production throughout the entire way god damn mike dean was fuckin ... read more
Osamason is really only improving, this is my favorite album of his date, I feel like I enjoy other songs on other albums, a little more like freestyle, of course, but this album was very consistent throughout the entire way. There were definitely a few bad ones liners, I believe on Insta at one point you talked about watching pornography, the production from OK on this album is still great per usual and Osamason had a great performance. really nice seeing this artist improve, I do hate to ... read more
I love this album, dexelz easily is one of my favorite underground artists at the moment, his variation surprises me with the good amount of different types of rap he can make. He ventured out on this project heavily, even more then he has in the past, suprised with the mans great work on this album and I cant wait to see more from him.
