Overall disappointing for a 7 year wait. I thought the flows were basic and mid from Rocky and didn’t show anything extraordinary in his hiatus. The features besides Doechii were pretty bad in my opinion because they didn’t have verses. However, I thought the production was well done for the most part. Adding Westside Gunn only for a no word outro baffles me. It was dumb of me to expect a breathtaking album apparently…
Another solid album for Billy Woods’ unmatched catalog. Wouldn’t say this album is as good as Haram or his latest solo album, Golliwog but still super solid. I think at times in the beginning, Elucid was able to out-rap Billy which is crazy to hear. Overall not very excited about the features. Great addition to Joeys strong catalog of albums. Nice to see him back for the first time in a few years. Most songs were great but Ferg’s verse almost ruined HighRoller. As a wise man once said, tell Ferg don’t quit his day job.
