As a genuine trippie fan, it’s really sad to see how hard of a losing streak he’s had this year. I liked mansion musik more than most but ALLTY5, and now both Saint Michaels have just been rough to sit through.
I’m hoping next year, with what seems to be a sequel to Life’s A Trip (his best project) he can come back in full swing. But ig we’ll see.
Damn, I really wanted to like this way more than I did but every good song he has on here Trippie meets it with an equally ass song without fail.
Wow that last song sounds super crazy, wish I could hear it without 15 layers of vocal effects!
The guys have some really good flows on this tape (mainly on the last track Chateau Gris) but it’s really hard to get past those obnoxious ass vocal effects.
With all due respect, MAKONNEN should never touch a mic ever again
WHO TF TOLD HIM THAT CHORUS ON PROVE MY LOVE ITS SO BAF WTF
In case you were wondering: yes, this is the same exact album Kota has been making since 2018
but make it house👐
While I was never a huge fan of King Von, he certainly had talent and set himself apart from a lot of his contemporaries. It’s very unfortunate his life was taken so soon. I appreciate how this album actually feels like something he might have put out as well. It doesn’t feel like a cash grab, the songs are finished, the features make sense. There’s a lot of not great ideas in here but they all feel like something Von himself would have done.
I get this album is pretty bland and basic, but the whole reaction towards it seems a bit off to me. Like yeah, it’s not a very inspired piece of work, but it isn’t much worse than any other generic pop record out rn. Even then it’s got some decent songs in “Waffle House” and “Little Bird”.
The 0s-20s just seem like overreactions to me
An incredibly consistent project, Mike Dimes is one of the most promising young rappers rn.
I just wish “GREEN” didn’t have that hoodlum verse
While I do love this album, I am not going to lie I expected a lot more from the singles. Those are the best songs here, Bon voyage and Good for now being the standouts. The latter half of the record really picked up imo and I wished it was more like that throughout cause then it could’ve been a 100.
