MF DOOM - MM..FOOD

While there are a few low moments, this album has one of the best track flows of any hip hop album I've ever listened to. Specifically the last four tracks are all soooo quotable and funny, with "Vomitspit" being the absolute king of this. Iykyk. Also the first album I bought a physical copy! It was on sale.

目黒将司 [Shoji Meguro] - PERSONA 3 RELOAD - Original Soundtrack

Now that soundtracks are separate from other albums, I feel better rating these how they work based as part of a game, rather than an album listen. This is my first (and probably only for a while) persona game, and probably has my favorite soundtrack of all of them. I don't care what others say, Mass Destruction is way better in this game! It's produced much cleaner, the iconic horn lick sounds so good with more emphasis on the vibrato in this version, and Lotus Juice does a much more ... read more

IAM - L'école du micro d'argent

I can't understand French, but these people's flows and tone just work for me. The instrumentals are also fantastic, with a highlight being the third track's slow, soft strings telling a story even without the lyrics.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation

There's a review that gives this album a mediocre score in this website somewhere that half jokingly says that this album is for zoomers who think that saying the word "Gila" 50 times in one song is the funniest thing ever done. Hello!

Imagine Dragons - Origins
NR

EUGHGGHGGGHGH I wish I had the physical capability to rate this low, unfortunately my arbitrary and completely unprecedented personal rules prevent me. There are sooo many annoying songs like "boomerang" and "digital" grinds my earholes. My friend actually liked the weird bassy breakbeat adjacent section so I might just be hating

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Paper Mâché Dream Balloon

I really like how soft and sweet everything sound with stu's and ambrose's voices just floating on top of the acoustic instrumentals. Half of the reason I like this band is probably their aussie accent, and this record gives them a great chance to show off their singing ability without a bunch of noise behind it.

Masafumi Ogata - Sonic the Hedgehog CD: Original Soundtrack - 20th Anniversary Edition

Get funky, be funky, stay funky yo hustle hustle! These songs go so hard and it's awesome hearing them evolve as you listen through each time period. This is also one of the only video game osts that I think translates really well to album format, as it lacks filler and works well when pulling individual tracks to listen to as well as a full front to back listen.

Lifeformed - TUNIC (Original Game Soundtrack)

KILLLLLS the minecraft soundtrack❗❗❗❗❗❗

Ok but seriously, this soundtrack is a masterpiece of electronic ambience. I read an article of how the two composers fused their respective styles together, one being more organized and mathematical, one being more improvisational. I feel like this is best seen on "The Weight of Rain," where the opening piano line perfectly captures the feeling of a serene, rain-laden landscape. After a short while, a soft drum beat kicks in along ... read more

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Nonagon Infinity

It opened the door to the gizz for me. Super energetic, surprisingly catchy, and whenever I am subjected to pop country the first song I think of when asking myself, "what would I rather be listening to?" is robot stop.

I might like this better than Nonagon Infinity. How!? Answer: Daily Blues.
