very good, liam doesnt show the same emotion as he does in other projects, but still manages to make it sad (just not as much as he normally does, if that makes sense haha). must listen if you like this kind of music.
i really like the hip hop beats, and occasional guitar, with sad, almost depressing lyrics. its definitely very unique, and i enjoy it a lot. i think its right on the cusp of a must listen for me
i really *want* to like this album, i dont hate it, but i also dont like it. for some reason i feel like its missing that same emotion in 'agony', and that its kinda just a feel for liams other project, 'sign crushes motorist', maybe just a test run? i dunno, i still like some songs off of this, but maybe you shouldn't listen to the full thing unless you want more slowcore in your life.
this album rips up your heart, chews it up, spits it out, sets it on fire, and blows the ashes in your face. i genuinely love how heart wrenching and slow it is. you can genuinely tell that liam is depressed, and is making songs to get everything out of him (im actually not sure why he's making music, but, blehh, this is what i think) . the emotion behind the music and beautiful guitar loops is what really sells this for me, but sometimes you'll catch me singing along to the lyrics ... read more
i cant even explain why i enjoy it, i just do.
i think you should listen to this, i love it.
the best of death grips, easily my favorite album by them. i love it, i love how loud it is, i love how incoherent it is sometimes, i just love everything about it. the starting track, come up and get me, just absolutely nails what i'd think death grips is, seemingly random as shit, loud as hell, and overwhelming. then, it kind of eases into more calm and chill tracks, i love it a lot.
death grips at their best, both (as they are called on spotify) discs are noticeably different, but still amazing. on a full album listen, it isnt my favorite. but it is definitely up there, i absolutely loved billy not really's 'oh why me, why me' and rides performance on the powers that b track, along with the beat on it. i think this is a must listen.
probably one of my favorite albums of all time, i cant really explain it. the beats are amazing, the samples are amazing (most of the time), though, i feel like the lyrics are hit or miss
extremely good and definitely worth your time
