If you're into anything close to metal you might wanna check this out. Although you may be put off by the vocals, I guarantee you'll enjoy the catchy riffs on display here throughout the whole album.
I think I'm slowly falling in love with melodic black metal.. the way these two randoms managed to make one of the best metal albums in recent years, and got absolutely zero recognition, it really makes me sad about the whole black metal scene :(. Why varg MIDkernes gets more ... read more
It's understandable that death grips talk about drugs so much when their music on its own can make you high. Exmilitary is a groundbreaking explosion of sound from every direction possible that will just leave you craving for more at the end. It's kind of weird, on the one hand I've never felt so violated by an album before but on the other hand I never enjoyed it so much. Every second is such a specific vibe and I have yet to find another album that scratches the same itch as ... read more
funny as fuck and surprisingly headbang-worthy
I still vividly remember listening to Waters of Nazareth for the first time when I was a kid : it’s one of my biggest memories I have with music as a whole. I was weirded out by this video that appeared in the youtube recommendations while I was using my dad’s Ipad. It looked so strange, featuring a large yellow cross outline on a black background that didn’t look inviting at all. When I tapped on it I was greeted by this horrific, distorted growl that sounded like broken ... read more
THANK YOU FOR 35 FOLLOWERS
And so we finally arrive to my (probably) final SoaD review. System of a Down is my favorite band of all time, hands down. During their career they continuously released banger after banger, earning them a "must hear" label on each one of their albums. Which is weird when you think about it, as System of a Down doesn't seem like something accessible that everyone can enjoy at first. They can certainly look too goofy or too scary for some people.

You take a last glance at your old furniture : your cozy bed, your decaying posters, your empty drawers, your half-broken stuff that wasn't touched in about a decade.. This is where you spent most of your life, and you're leaving it behind like it never even mattered. Deep inside, you ... read more
Wow. I was not disappointed. How does this have only 7 ratings ??
Every track felt great, not a single moment was boring. Drearleader, although unknown to the general public, clearly showcase their songwriting talents in a short time with memorable choruses and solos.
All of it flows amazingly, with the band displaying fresh ideas on every step of the way, constantly improving upon the previous proposition. Some of it can be trippy, some of it goes hard, some of it just makes you angry.

System of a Down's self titled debut is an extremely unique, crazy and engaging piece of art : there's nothing quite like the first listening experience. I was blown away by just how different and almost unstable everything sounded.
Right away you're greeted with the extremely fast riff in the Suite-Pee intro, clearly not played perfectly by Daron, followed by Serj shouting in the weirdest way possible "I had an out of body experience the other day, her name was ... read more
MUSIC is a fun album sprinkled with great songs and some of the best carti flows/production to date.
As others said before, it is indeed bloated but not as much as people make it out to be in my opinion. I can see some redeeming qualities in about every "useless" track.
Oh my god yes, more OK Computer please - said literally everyone who's ever listened to OK Computer. Well they don't have to search too far because this exists. While those who've listened to Radiohead's various EPs and singles released around 1997 may recognize some of the extra tracks here, others will gladly be discovering the entrancing b-sides this reissue has to offer.
Those songs sometimes feel more OK Computer-y than the tracks that are actually on it. There's ... read more
I'm just gonna reupload my review for the original edition with some added thoughts at the end
This album is a lot of things : raw, scary, disturbing, violent but boring isn't one of them. Every minute of Slipknot's self-titled is just pure, unfiltered rage. From the impressive metal screams of lead singer Corey Taylor, to the very technical riffs from Jim Root and Mick Thomson, this record is just metal gold and a staple of nu-metal.
The inspiration from hip-hop is obvious, ... read more
It's an interesting project, and the some of the soundscapes it offers are certainly worth the listen. The production is mostly crisp, and I like the drum work. My personal highlights are the first and last track, as well as Gryphon and Lonely People/Fallin'
But it does fall short on a lot of tracks that could benefit from some rework :(, it can sometimes sound a bit cheap. The album really is TOO LONG, I feel like if half or 1/3 of the tracklist was scrapped/saved for a later album, ... read more

Oh my god, I did not expect this at all. McKinley Dixon definitely satisfied my then unnoticed need for more jazz rap with this amazing album. The whole thing feels like something big, it tells a beautiful story through an incredible experience that has absolutely no skips. Everything is so damn crisp, the drums are perfect, the production in general is amazing and tracks like Run, Run, Run Pt. II really make me hopeful for McKinley's future as a rapper/producer.
This shit had me vibing, ... read more
This album is really good : the production is great, the flows, the hooks, the pharell singing which makes me feel like that one dolphin crying meme.
Some tracks feel underwhelming like All things considered and So be it but overall really solid.
Damn I was not expecting to ascend 10 feet off the ground on the third song. Lowkey angelic I need to listen to the rest of her discography ππ
An incredible album where the tracks flow perfectly. Vanisher takes the listener through an entire journey without you even noticing the change in scenery.
Madvillainy has everything set up for greatness, being made by one of the greatest rappers of all time AND one of the greatest producers of all time. And it does not disappoint, the record is amazing all the way, and is considered one of the most important rap albums of its decade.
The whole album is littered with short, fun rap tracks that have this magnificent albeit goofy production by the legendary Madlib. It ends up being really charming most of the time; some of the beats are just such a ... read more
Hypnotize is the second part of System of a Down's double album. While not as good as the first one, it still has that magic that made Mezmerize special. The heaviness of BYOB and Cigaro is still present on tracks like U-Fig and Attack, and most songs have some heavy moments with some fast and really cool riffs (meanwhile serj sings like a madman as always). But don't let that deceive you, this is the most emotional SoaD record. Songs like Soldier Side and Lonely Day are definitely ... read more
The second LP from LP (sorry) is an incredible follow-up to an amazing album. They definitely struck gold twice as this one feels as good as the previous one, if not better. The classic Linkin Park formula that made Hybrid Theory special is back, after being refined and improved upon. Calmer, less heavy tracks like Breaking the Habit and Easier to Run are present here and show the beginning of a shift in their style, while heavy hitters like Hit the Floor and Figure.09 remind us that this is ... read more
