To be fair, I liked this waaayyy more than I was expecting going into it.
Struggled with the first half of the album, but from intermission track onwards absolutely slaps. Circle The Drain fucks soooo hard!
Not usually a deathcore fan but I can get behind this album.
Main criticism is that the mix is fucking ass. Sounds like i'm listening to the band while slowly sinking deeper and deeper into mud. Maybe that was the point but, it can make some songs feel very numbing.
The word "generic" has been thrown around a lot regarding this album, and its completely accurate. This is straightforward metalcore with bleghs and halftime heavy guttural breakdowns in nearly every song.
However, there is just enough extra sauce sprinkled in that keeps me engaged and coming back.
So while this is not anything groundbreaking, if you like this sound, you'll LOVE this album.
Really liked the punk and rock elements in the first half of the album.
But the second half of the album was like half doja cat and half popsmoke. Certainly a choice, but not for me. Definitely a lot of variety in here
Other Worldly Rifts, Heavenly Vocals, and Emotionally Charged Lyrics.
Beautiful.
