Maisie Peter’s third album after her last one 3 years ago does not disappoint, and hits plenty of the notes that her previous body of works hit but lacks it’s own identity, sounding like most of her other pieces of music, and winding up as a comfortable, if predictable, addition to her discography that prioritises consistency over evolution.

Even though this song is very similar in structure to many of his other songs, I can’t help but still enjoy it so much. It’s just easy to listen to music that gets stuck in your head. Very basic lyrically, but the production certainly makes up for it. It’s a catchy, fun, and chill song. I hope his next song tries to go a different route a little bit as this formula will only work for so long

This album surprised me as it was more personal than I thought it would be. It is very consistent, and doesn’t have any bad songs. Yet again nothing generational and it sounds like a lot of R&B music, but it also feels different and fresh, like the beat on Bear which I really liked. The features don’t do too much. It’s very interesting what Charli xcx is doing right now, after the monumental success and impact of the BRAT era she did the Wuthering Heights soundtrack, and is now dropping these indie-like singles. SS26 is definitely an improvement from the bewildering “song” that was Rock Music. I don’t know what she’s planning but I’m very intrigued and excited to see what comes of it
