Ethel Cain - Preacher's Daughter

Damn. The storytelling on this record is transcendental, and the sonic themes are so haunting it drags you back for more every time you think you're done. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to hear my music taste. From the spoken word in the introduction, all the way to the final screams on Strangers, she builds this haunting motif, attempting to show every emotion she has developed throughout this project's creation. Please listen.

Taylor Swift - Speak Now

Her best album? It's debateable... I wish she would return to this sound as its just perfect for her voice. Her old songwriting was fantastic and its a shame she seems to have lost her edge recently. Besides that, this album is so good and perfectly encapsulates the feeling she is intending to portray. The uptempo and slow songs equally serve their purpose, and i think Mine is her greatest lead single
Favourite: Last Kiss
Least favourite: Never Grow Up

Paramore - brand new eyes

Their best album imo, I mean the amount of bangers here are just undeniable. Seeing them live altered my being, and this album only solidified that.
Favourite: Playing God/Decode (if thats allowed)
Least favourite: Where the Lines Overlap

Hayley Williams - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party

Perfect comeback album after being shunned from the public eye. Her greatest body of work imo
Fly like a bird and we belong together=two of the greatest songs ever created, but some others drag the album down a tad for me
Favourite: Fly Like a Bird
Least favourite: Joy Ride

Kacey Musgraves - Golden Hour

Timeless spring masterpiece. Never fails to put you in a good mood. No one, not even Kacey, could recreate this album and the emotions it evokes, especially on that first listen
Favourite: Slow Burn
Least favourite: Mother

Madonna - Ray of Light

Timeless and excellent. Madonna's magnum opus imo, and it stands the test of time nearly 30 years later. The title track might be the greatest song ever made, and that first 7 track run is one of the greatest in history. Drowned world is the perfect album opener, and despite the latter half not being quite as strong as the front they're still exceptional songs
would recommend this album to literally anyone who enjoys music
Favourite: Ray of Light
Least favourite: The Power of Good-Bye

Janet Jackson - All for You

100% my favourite album of the 2000s, and my favourite janet album, in my top 10 albums of all time. Its held back by the 100 points because i usually skip would you mind (too freaky sorry janet), but someone to call my lover and all for you are genuinely two of the greatest songs ever recorded. In terms of the slower songs, my favourite is definitely when we oooo because it just scratches that itch i need when i want a slow love song.
I would recommend this album to anyone who likes rnb/pop ... read more
