Seemingly the most satisfying group of songs April has released so far. Previous nitpicks I have had on albums like Wallsocket regarding song-structure are pretty much gone. Each song on here feels very deliberate.
“there was no love lost but you took a little light away”
Rest in peace to Mr. Tucker Zimmerman. Not everyone can say they wrote a perfect song.
Beyond any novelty, it is clear that this guy knows how to write a good song. Awesome!
I had a good time listening to this. It’s well put together and performed, very fun, and has a patchwork feel that matches the cover (and Burton involvement).
This album really made my day. It has a similar sound to Dead Calm, but differentiates itself quickly by being a record largely made up of duets between a male and female vocalist. The songs themselves vary as well, and thankfully Link3 gives themself room to shine lyrically and vocally in the midst of the short song lengths and lofi aesthetic. This is a very warm, very easy record to listen to.
Not my favorite. Still looking forward to the new record though
It definitely does feel like a retread in some ways, but I still enjoy this a lot. The openness of the instrumentals on this album does a lot to bring out the verses.
Spending the 24th listening to this JR album. It’s pretty good you guys
A surprise new favorite of 2025. The Bandcamp description mentions Vashti Bunyan, Sibylle Baier, and Linda Perhacs as inspiration for this record. I saw those names and knew I had to listen. This is a beautiful album.
This is an album I have lived with for a while. It is always nice to find musicians who maintain true mystery and authenticity in their work.
Absolutely the best Bandcamp release I have heard from DDS. This is an INCREDIBLE record. Those last four songs, man.
I’m finally getting into Gordon Lightfood, who is a big blind spot for me in terms of late 60s-70s songwriters. I really enjoyed this record.
