ehhh, it got a really cool like maybe 10 second stretch where all the layers hit just right but i found the melody annoying for most of the song and the first minute really boring
nuthin 2 hide does something to me man, really really enjoyable album
i actually liked this one a lot, one criticism is that the flow doesnt vary enough it kinda makes it sounds like the chorus is just ongoing for kinda the whole song
Not very many moments that stood out to me per say as like amazing amazing, and unfortunately felt kinda like one song up until storybooks
That said, each song on its own merit has great instrumentals and is super fun, hes a pretty solid lyricist
very curious to see where this guy goes i know very little about him
The Mad Scientist himself Sci-Fi
Really interesting rapper, definitely a bit lyricial spiritual miracle, but using a lot of words rappers shy of aesop rock would be scared to. I got a lot of flatbush zombies, wu tang, and doom vibes at various points in this project. Listen this is the EASIEST gateway for a hiphop fan into world music I could possibly imagine this literally sounds like a classic NY hiphop album with a crazy French MC, please give this a chance I adore the project.

probably my personal favorite of uzi recent songle run, just very isolated like not trying to much uzi does his thing, you can hear every part of the beat clearly, the cool sample, i fw it
in a way kinda makes me think of cartis location, such a ridiculous intstrunental that you could piss over it and itd still be song of the year, but they still found the perfect rapper to hop on this beat. Uzi has this playful spacyness to his music, the way his voice reverbs just perfectly compliments the personality this beats has. Love this song so much

I generally think steez and joey always had a lot more emotional presence and their passion shined through in ways I dont see in some other boombap rappers. 1999 addresses from multiple directions of joeys mindset.
I feel like you can really here joeys passion on hardknock, his denial of his heartbreak in pennyroyal is so relatable, his drive on survival tactics rivals people like nas.
And i think thats griselda literally biggest problem, westside gunn is so immensly talented, but I feel like he always raps in the same exact way, I know who westside gunn is as a rapper, but I dont feel that inner motivation that makes him tick as a person."
