title says it all.
the band really sounds uncoordinated at times, with certain segments feeling like they take forever to progress alongside the occasional instance of some really weak vocals. for the most part though, it sounds alright. the guitars scream grunge, drums are decent, although often way too repetitive, and the vocals somehow managed to be both powerful and unamusing. the interludes here serve no purpose and actually take away from the experience, but everything else is alright. ... read more
i swear i remember this album being astronomically mid but i guess i like it now.
this album is a very mixed bag. to start off, we get ‘Something From Nothing’, which has to be one of the Foo’s best songs, but we also get the final two tracks, which are easily the worst. the songs just got worse and worse as the album went on, including this slower prettier sound that they weren't able to establish, and made the first couple songs feel like they didn’t belong. ... read more
should i bring flowers
the first track is pretty good, everything else is just kinda meh. most of the songs on here are drawn out and thus much longer than they need to be, kinda feel like this would be better as an ep. most of the tracks sound incredibly similar, it just kinda feels like the same stuff copied and altered a little bit, besides the first track of course. ‘still plant’ bothers me. why is it here? it serves literally no purpose, and takes away from the experience. this ... read more
R.I.P dude in the bottom left
i think it’s pretty clear why this is the highest rated album. just a wonderful collection of songs influenced by all sorts of creativity and lyrical depth, really a mastermind at work here. these songs are insanely catchy, i mean they get stuck in your head FAST, but it’s a kind of catchyness done right. i wouldn’t mind having ‘King Kunta’ stuck in my head personally, all of these songs are something i could listen to over and over ... read more
hey i think i’ve seen that film before
i think i finally get The Cure. it took a couple albums, but i think i finally understand it. i still don’t enjoy them as much as most people, but i can still find some comfort in them. with that being said, this is a very, very haunting album, and a good one at that. the lyrics really slap you across the face ten times and then kick you to the ground. i mean, they hit HARD. the drumming is better on this project, and the bass supports the ... read more
‼️FINAL LED ZEPPELIN REVIEW‼️
i’m out through the in door
led zeppelin… what happened? you went from this wonderful hard rock sound with kick-ass drums and amazing guitars backed up by powerful lyrics to… whatever this is. the vocals are the worst they’ve ever been, the sound is really sluggish and slow-progressing, and it just sounds bad. random guitar solos that attempt to add something but end up taking away from the song, i mean what are we doing? were ... read more
FINALLY I GET TO REVIEW THIS MASTERPIECE!!!!!!
seriously, i’ve waited so long to get this far into the discog dive, and we’re finally here. anyways, this album is amazing. every song is a fantastic listen, with each being everything you look for in hard rock and alt metal. ‘Bridge Burning’ is a phenomenal intro to this album that throws you right into the deep end, and i feel like it is a fusion of all the other tracks here. ‘White Limo’ works as kind of an ... read more
‼️FINAL REVIEW OF 2024 ‼️
those were some devastating events
what a nice listen. we get soft, relaxing beats throughout the album with a pretty, angelic voice and meaningful lyrics on top. this album was just really pretty, although i do wish the sound towards the beginning was carried out through out the whole album. many songs here, such as “The Hills” are great listens that keep this album moving. “It Is What It Is” and “Dumb Bitch Juice” ... read more
don’t know what i was expecting but it wasn’t this.
saying this was like a rollercoaster is an understatement. freaking all over the place, yet this album packs a hefty punch, and it delivers. the contrast of softer and more pretty sounds with the louder, distorted screaming parts works well, especially given the emotional weight this project carries. the first two thirds of this soundtrack are very, very nice. “Hell 99” without a doubt has to be the greatest on this ... read more

holy craaaap this was soo boring… every song was pretty much the same and incredibly slow. these tracks took forever to progress, and when they did, it didn’t amount to much. however, the sound itself isn’t bad, and thus each is just kinda average. what carries this album has to be the lyrics, they seem very inteicate and very well thought-out. however, the vocals aren’t there to back them up. really not much else to say, just really uninteresting.

this doesn’t sound like it was made in 2024 at all.
new hard rock album in 2024?!?! whaat?! not that i’m complaining, because this album is really, really good. very consistent album, you know exactly what you’re gonna get each song and you know its gonna be good. drums kick hard, vocals flow well, and, oh man, the guitars. easily the best part of this album. the riffs hit HARD and are without a doubt the highlights of each song. everything just flows together and fits nice in ... read more

a nice, pretty, deep album. the title track is undoubtedly the best song on here, it just flows so well and is so beautiful. the vocals on these tracks are great, and is kind of what carries this album. however, many of these songs are longer than they should be. they can kind of start to get old at a certain point. however, the variety in sound between the songs was great, and the orchestration and production of each of these tracks is something to behold. i didn’t like ... read more
Out Loud is the single most underrated Cage song.
the attention to detail here is actually astonishing. certain lines overlap just right, and i'm pretty sure there is a xylophone in 'Silent Picture'. this album managed to combine this retro sound with a psychadelic sound, making the central topic of the album about drugs. and these styles are nailed perfectly, at certain points of some songs, i genuinely felt like i was high. the opening tracks are great, and 'Out Loud' ... read more

don't know why i waited until now to review this. the first three tracks are great, with 'Here's the Thing' being my personal favorite off this project. the closing couple tracks were also great, even if 'Death kink' is a bit of a strange name. everything inbetween is just kind of alright. the songs can ssometimes feel rpetitive, and i mean i like where they were trying to go, but they couldn't exactly nail the pretty sound they were aiming for. the ... read more
holy shit.
'perfect' doesn't do this justice. 'album of the year' doesn't do this justice. hell, i don't think 'greatest album of all time' does this justice. beauty in music is something we can always appreciate, but i'm telling you that there will never, EVER be an album that's as beautiful as this. i mentioned in my Monarch of Monsters review that i pretty much never cry to music. this is an exception. from start to finish, it's a ... read more
i've just accepted that the drumming is always going to suck.
every song is the same. there's absolutely nothing to mention, this whole thing is a nothing burger. the only thing keeping this afloat is the lyrics. although, i did actually enjoy 'The Drowning Man', especially with what they did with the vocals. there's really nothing else to say. incredibly uninteresting. i'm just glad they're atleast getting better.

LED ZEPPELIN NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
this is actually depressing. Physical Graffiti was outstading, but the follow up is by far this band's worst album yet. 'Achilles Last Stand' is an amazing song, but everything else is just mush. it genuinely feels like the drummer was playing blind, so he chose to play something simple, the guitarists just kinda came in whenever they wanted to, and the vocalist wrote lines while they were making the song and just said them whenever he wanted ... read more
what an amazing week of album reviewing its been. and to end it off with this? oh man. probably my best week yet.
don't know how, but Poppy managed to mix pop and metal together and it turned out as a beautiful symphony. these songs are just fantastic, the contrast of light and heavy sounds works really well, the writing can be weak at times, but most of the time it was great. production is awesome, love the way this progresses, just all of it. not many bad things to say here. oh, and ... read more
whyy does this album have do be so short :((((
seriously, i didn't want this to end. amazing tracks from top to bottom.'Thirst' is a great way to set the scene for this project, and 'Suffocate' is one of the best on here. the decision to include Poppy on there was genius. the song after, however, 'Don't Reach For Me' is hands-down the best on here. a perfect 10/10. the message and the guitars and just everything about it. I also found the closing tracks ... read more
