The way this band has been going from bad album ---> good album ---> bad album ---> good album is getting really funny
This thing is so one note but Skyler is such a good vocalist he elevates the material to make it a whole lot better
Pretty lifeless, and maybe that's the point. I hope this grows on me though.
A bit nervous for this one after not liking The Dusk In Us but literally what else can you say other than "they've still got it."
Not a bang but a whisper, all encompassed with love and death. I guess this wasn't going out on their own terms (Due to an abrupt ending caused by what Anthony was going through at the time) but it sure feels like it. The most ethereal the band has ever been with Anthony sounding completely in his element. Circa's Coloring Book.

Looking back and trying to make sense of the past. Sifting through memories to find meaning. A reflection on their entire career up to this point. I can't call this record adventurous but it does feel like a full understanding of what makes Circa Survive so great. Now I'm ready to look ahead to the future with them. It's the end of the road.
A definite step up from Violent Waves. I think this is much closer to reaching the highs of previous records. Nesting Dolls and Descensus are straight up the best songs they've written
Treading water through the waves. Some really good stuff here (The Lottery is maybe top 5 Circa track) but unfortunately it doesn't quite measure up to all the material before this. Still a very solid record. 4 down 3 to go, nothing you love lasts too long
First (new) album of 2026 thank you CYS
Better than Living Gracious but not quite as good as the self titled.
They still stand out as among the most exciting newer hardcore bands
Beautiful and entrancing record. Closer in spirit to Juturna with every single song being memorable and unique just like that album. Imaginary Enemy was the first Circa song I ever heard over 10 years ago (incredible btw.) I find myself shocked that I do lean in favor of On Letting Go over this which has continued to grow on me over the past week. I think some of that is the more streamlined sound of this but it's still absolutely playing to their strengths. Time to see what late stage ... read more
A fantastic record that is also a noticeable step down from Juturna. It feels like the band wasn't sure exactly where to go after that record and it's left feeling a bit one note. Despite it all, the album just works so well I can't help but really love these songs. This rocks, bring on Blue Sky Noise
I've been wanting to get into this band for so long and it finally clicked for me. This record feels like it's from some time long forgotten, or maybe even a different world entirely.
You'd mean so much more to me if I remembered.
Merry Christmas
Was really stoked for this since the original is a pretty famous botch job production wise but the drums here sound god awful and all of the atmosphere has been sucked out so they somehow made it worse
Happy 10 years to this deeply misunderstood record. Twitching Tongues In Utero. Ugly and jagged at every edge but also personal, raw and honest. Perfect Halloween record
Not sure I would have believed you if you told me that it would take almost exactly 10 years since their demo to get their first lp but I'm so glad it's finally here. To no one's surprise, it rips
Not to be that guy but once I started seeing reviews about this album being "real death metal finally" I knew this would be a step down from Homicidal Ecstasy.
