the concept that i originally rated this a 63 is absolutely fucking mental. i dont have a clue what was happening to me that day
amazing album, feels like it sticks to what was so fantastic about 'the now now and never', whilst maintaining a fresh coat of paint rather than more of what came before it.
only complaints are that in a song or two the drums almost feel too overbearing compared to everything else, and that the repeated sample in 'summer' is a bit annoying.
actually very good, but the second disk was way better than the first. also idk how much i like cole's melodic rapping stuff
yet another example of 'would've probably been really good at the time but the way people did music back then limited how music sounded too much for me to be able to list stuff as much'
doesn't stop there from being some great tracks, i do want to relisten to this cause i could see it growing on me despite that
i get the message, but it's pretty badly gotten across when it sacrifices much of the quality that could have been gotten from this album
no point in rating this for obvious reasons. political messages aside its just ok whilst also having burn and stars on it.
somewhat carried by itaky ghost town and violent crimes but like holy shit those ones are good
easily the highest-rated album ive heard where ive added a grand total of ZERO songs to my playlist. why? because its just... enjoyable.
like its just fun to go all the way through even if it seems to make no sense because each song is just ok
also realistically this album feels like it should be made for like a total of 8-13 people
the best songs on here absolutely clear the rest of the album and are amazing. maybe i need to hear this more
