Despite being sonically far-removed from the more harrowing and theatrical sounds black midi were known for, the soul of what made the band such a standout act is just as, if not more present than ever with this solo release from Greep. Going even deeper into the jazzosphere with a heavy Latin influence in both instrumental selection and style, this album wastes little time dwelling on past successes.
Blues works almost like a sendoff to the old sound Greep made his name off with a distinctly ... read more
After almost 8 years the substance of this album not only holds up, but it’s grown even more important, which is really disappointing. That aside, this album is incredible. Temptation and Devastated are fantastic, poppy and uplifting standouts that did a great job of introducing his sound and this album to a larger audience. The production on this album is airtight and definitely sells the conceptual side of the album with these relaxed bossa nova riffs featuring in some capacity on ... read more
The first 5 songs would already be enough to make this one of the best albums of the year, but with everything else on top there is nothing to doubt or mull over in terms of the quality of this project. Definitely one to remember.
Nobody has ever said ‘play cash cobain’ their life. Consequently, any immersion this song may have offered has been completely debased leaving a bereft landscape of noise. Hark! I am incapable of forming a sincere position on this piece of music.
There’s nothing more to be said about this album than what people have already described. KK creates such a gritty but vivid atmosphere on this whole album with every song absolutely drenched in some insanely rich instrumentation that manages to be both subtle and roaring a the same time. His vocal delivery is as passionate and driven as it’s ever been and everything said resonates so much more because of that fact. This is an album that only seems to improve with each listen and ... read more
Absolute bop of a track. Fantastic dance tune and staple of the fifa 20 soundtrack
2 absolute bops and 1 song that sounds like liturgy if they were forced to make bedroom pop.
This album’s got a vibe that feels almost untouchable by any other shoegaze and dream pop stuff. It kinda feels like the end of the world h being told through a circus act in some imaginary mystical culture. This album’s use of distortion just feels so perfect. Everyone song just flows together in such an organic and natural way that the album feels like one grand experience that I could listen to on repeat for hours. The vocals on this project are actually so nuts I have no idea ... read more
The second half comeback is always on with this anthem playing
This sounds like a jazz album that came from the world of a PS2 era fantasy rpg. So to speak this bops hard.
This is like if Beef othen and Mozart were rapers but Mozart was black and the other guy was white and they both shared a single synapse between themselves
