6LACK - LOVE IS THE NEW GANGSTA

6LACK has always been an artist who’s really just super solid to me, everything he makes it good, some is great, nothing is ever bad but nothing ever really stands out either. That continues with this record. But that’s not at all a bad thing I just think 6LACK has a ceiling and instead of hitting his head against it trying to break through, he just coasts along it delivering a really good product every time. As always, 6LACKs vibey R&B tracks are super nice really good, chill, ... read more

Kehlani - Kehlani

Kehlani has always been one of those artists were I feel like everything she made was safe, if I hear a Kehlani song I’m gonna like it but it’s never gonna blow me away, it’s just good chill r&b but this is the album that broke that stigma I have around her because this one is FIREEE. The vibes on this album are insaneee, sliding in and out of nostalgic feeling 90s r&b pockets, modern ones that feel like they could be playlist main rotations, then taking all that and ... read more

Drake - MAID OF HONOUR

I know it’s gonna be a hot take but with Maid Of Honour, Drake released by the best record he dropped this year and since FATD. The biggest standout that makes this record shine is the absolutely incredible production in each and every sound he taps into. Also I feel like Drake was in pure flow state this whole record, not trying too hard and tapping back into his best dance track roots like Views or a new, improved and evolved Honeslty, Nevermind. Besides a couple tracks that are total ... read more

Drake - ICEMAN

With ICEMAN, Drake delivers his long awaited blockbuster highly anticipated comeback record (1/3 of them) and for me it doesn’t at all live up to the hype. That’s not to say it’s a bad record by any means what it does mean is that it was disappointing. The weak points like using the same 2 flows in every lyrical track, overloading the record with very bland tracks, and only having a small handful of highlight tracks, the best way to describe this album is plain, unseasoned ... read more

Ella Langley - Dandelion

First time listening to an Ella Langley record and with this one I was mostly focused on figuring out if she has proven she is more than the “Choosin Texas” girl and I’m happy to say she definitely is. I can tell she is still finding her stride but she has a lot of potential and it shines through on a handful of the best songs. Most of her stuff is that honky tonk style country pop mesh but she also has an honestly lowkey impressive pen that really shines on the highlight of ... read more
