Underwhelming and disappointing with some career embarrassing struggle bars and just weak flows accompanied by, as usual, some outstanding production and at times expectedly experimental sounds. Repetition sets in and quickly it starts to feel like there’s nothing else for Peggy to rap about.
I don’t even know what to say anymore he just doesn’t miss it’s actually unbelievable to make an album of this quality and caliber and the visuals too. I don’t know listen to it, it’s a classic, it’s his best album. Idk.
If you like The Smiths but want something less depressing or less cynical, but still has that Englishness in the terms of the lyricism, with a vocalist who has the voice of an angel, this album has it all. It’s also very relaxing, and strangely soothing.
No skips. Genuinely insane album. Highlights are; That's My Floor, Watching T.V., Vampire In The Corner, Fear, Sex, Vampire In The Corner. Gorgeous, just gorgeous--Synthpop, funk, altpop, whatever you call it, I want more of it. This is close for an album of the year to me.
Chappell Roan brings us into a new world of glitter, glamor, kisses and hot hands on bodies in an all-around amazing record which touches on so many aspects of sexuality, womanhood, romance, and all that it encompasses.
