Peeling Flesh is having fun, and it shows. This band set out to have a great time combining the hardest breaks with the hardest slams and absolutely delivered. If this is the new face of slam, the genre's in for a much-needed face-lift.

Peeling Flesh have taken the crown of hip-hop-metal integration by dangling the entire nu-metal scene by its ankles and shaking the lunch money out of its sorry little pockets.

Sometimes, bands get a lot of attention simply because they're really fucking good. "The G Code" is a generous consignment of good old, disgusting fun. Play it loud, break the furniture, and allow yourself a smile or two.

Metal as a whole takes itself entirely too seriously sometimes, and rap has a tendency to devolve into a giant dick measuring contest as well, so even though a lot of it comes across as just plain silly, that carefree approach is also what gives this album its charm. Thanks @MrNoodleMan for the recommendation, the attention these guys have been getting is noticeable.

The intro does showcase the monstrous production, this record definitely will sound good. Shoot 2 Kill has some really fun riffs actually, it does kind of capture a crunk energy. EDIT: 74 -> 82
I was wrong

I don’t think this should be judged too seriously because the record clearly isn’t that serious. Yeah, kind of a dumb slam album but it’s pretty fun tho. Some tracks went hard but mostly it was slightly repetitive. Also all the samples of rapping and stuff were annoying at times. I still liked this a decent amount but if i’d want to listen to something like this, i’d rather listen to Smoke by Snuffed on Sight.

Rap Metal is back bitches

Ok but seriously, my issue with this album is that it feels tugged between being a traditional Slam record but also wanting to bring in this experimental rap style, and that leads to it having an identity crisis. Stuff like Concrete Curb Enforcement or the ending of Perc 3000 showcase what this album could be, as I personally think Slam would be a great mix with Rap due to it’s extremely rhythmic nature serving as a great backbone for rap to be laid atop of, but ... read more
