Really really damn good blues/psych/prog rock album, the split suite is immaculate and the second side doesnt disappoint with their ‘hit’ - cherry red and the excellent TS McPhee solo song - Groundhog

Really highly recommend to anyone interested in heavy rock from the early 70s that scratches that trippy/bluesy itch

Bonus points cuz this has some great singing and excellent guitar playing

Bluesier and lighter than some of their other Heavy Psych à la Sir Lord Baltimore or Buffalo as they came out of the British Blues scene but can remain heavier. Goes into more spacey and acid-y territories on the 20 minute suite. It does drag on a bit on the later half of Split and side 2. Split Part 2’s opening riff is just so badass.
