It might not be a world away from the albums that came before it, but Hardwarez is the most refined version of MASTER BOOT RECORD yet.
Hardwarez is tight as hell, extremely consistent, and endlessly replayable.
Hardwarez dials back the darkness a bit and injects a really stabby electronic style that evokes a bit of acts like DANGER. A glitched out fuzz synth style that brings the intensity of metal to the electronic realm with a cyberpunk grit to it that makes it perfect for chilling playing video games or concentrating.
If you like riffs and synths then look no further. I've only listened to a few of MBR's albums, but this definitely feels like one of their best.
Such an entertaining record from beginning to end. If you like thick synths, retro/industrial/cyber aesthetics and love heavy shit, this should hopefully be right up your alley.
