On Patchwork, Jesse Welles doesn't have quite the same spark his first album has, but he puts out another quality folk album. I really hope he can continue to succeed and be more than a flash in the pan.
Trading out the sarcastic political lyrics for a more heartfelt tone means that this album has less bite, but is an overall better experience.
An improvement in every way! The smaller number of tracks really helps to strengthen this work.
