Quite literally the definition of post-prog. Really great prog rock rooted in heavier alternative rock and even some alternative metal combined with political commentary that still remains at least somewhat relevant to this day. One of the greatest Australian cultural exports.

Cog feel like they are trying to occupy several niches of progressive metal and alt rock that were en vogue at the time without any of the finesse to execute these ideas in a way that left any impact that their contemporaries managed to accomplish. The thing I've always hated about this album is how they strip down everything that made their debut great. Songs like "Are You Interested?", "What If", "How Long", and "Sharing Space" are the only notable songs here. The rest feel like filler at best.
