There’s quite a bit to get to with this album and well I’ll start by saying this album was really good! Container by Lackluster is a very good IDM and Downtempo album with blends of Ambient Techno and Glitch Hop. There’s also some Sequencer & Tracker stuff on this album that reminded me of an album like Pistachio Island by Ilkae which is also another fantastic IDM record. Unfortunately, I am not feeling this project. I get its inspirations, and I'll fully admit I'm not the biggest fan of downtempo IDM, but the beats and sounds on this project are just not as interesting or memorable as what artists such as Autechre, Aphex Twin and Bola can come up with. The production is clean and polished, and there's a few tracks where I was enjoying myself quite a bit. But alas, the album does not hold up as a whole.
