Absolute banger of an album. Forlorn have found their sound, refined and perfected it here. A nice balance of atmosphere and heaviness - and at a 30 minutes runtime no moment is wasted. Great stuff.
The group manage to weave their own mystic rituals to find spiritual moments within a progressive metalcore sound. There are a few moments that dial up the cheesiness and there is a bit of a miss, maybe it is more powerful live, but the recordings feel a bit timid with the clean vocals. Screams came out great and I can see some comparrisons to Rolo Tomasi made, but Rolo would never dial up the theatrics like Forlorn does. Very dramatic.
