So yeah it's a pretty simple record and can become a tad dull a times, but it's Clay from Twin Peaks and I do love some fun n' simple 80s inspired music to just dance to
FAV TRACKS: Violent aka Age of Consent, Red Wine, Mile After Mile, Hangover Square, Blood
Such a fun album. It can have it's dull moments, and there wasn't too much complexity on any of the tracks, but it is endlessly revisit-able for me when I'm feeling even the slightest amount of whimsy. Also, Red Wine is a spectacular song and should be seen as so.
Grapetooth strike fire several times early on in their debut (same of my favourite songs in recent memory on here with Violent, Red Wine, and Mike After Mile), but spend the rest of the album struggling to achieve the same heights. They prove themselves a duo to watch, with some fascinating sounds and vocals, if only they can build a bit of consistency.
