While their second album is their most famous and acclaimed one, Focus made their defining statement on their third release in 1972. Over an hour long masterpiece of progressive rock with so many mind-blowing passages and some fantastic songwriting everywhere. The first 4 songs were really good but after that it genuenly just felt like mindless noodling for 50 minutes

What;s that I hear? Another 70's Prog Rock band overshadowed by the big names at the time and is fairly good. Yup, Focus is another of the never ending list of Prog Rock bands to emerge from the late 60's scene and Focus 3 is arguably their best work and is one of their most recoginzable realises due to Sylvia and although for me, it is the only amazing track on this LP, Focus 3 stills offers a fairly consistent album filled with jazzy and symphonic compositions and many instrumentsls, which ... read more
