"The genocide will be televised 'til it's normalized"

Poignant. Our political era will be defined by those whom, under fire, made weapons out of scraps. Poems out of omens. Backwoodz does this better than any other. Gabe 'Nandez is a more than welcome addition in this project of abomunics & communization. Peace to the mirror-holders. Death to the empire.

This project has the difficult circumstance of existing within the shadow of Aethiopes for most listeners, but it separates itself rather quickly and doesn't pull its punches. Gabe 'Nandez flow is tactical and his words are uncompromising. Preservation provides him with great beats, as expected. Despite the well-respected names attached to this project, it is rare that Gabe 'Nandez is not the brightest star on these tracks.

This feels like Aethiopes younger sibling because they’re both produced by preservation and carry a very similar sound, but this one is less grown and matured. There’s plenty of similar themes too and the rapping from Gabe is pretty reminiscent of Billy woods. Overall this is an absolutely fantastic release that sadly didn’t get the recognition it deserves.

This definitely has great rapping, but the beats didn't really do anything for me.
