Renaissance dive headfirst into the 1980s (on some songs, at least) with a brand new, synthier sound. It’s not as bold or as adventurous as King Crimson’s Discipline, but it is definitely one of the stronger instances of a 60s/70s band leaning into this sound that I feel works naturally pretty well with the direction Renaissance had begun to take on their previous two albums.
