Most of the time, he's content to simply boast about his rapping skills and hurl profanity at other MCs. The end result is a release that is uneven and not remarkable, but does have its moments.

Fuck the critics; this is Kurupt's classic which developed a vernacular of self-referencing songs between he'd continue to build on, interpolating and dropping lines from, for years.

So my good friend @SmoothSaint has been trying to put me onto Kurupt for a long while now, this album in particular is one of his own personal favorites. Hearing it myself now, yeah I didn't like it nearly as much, not close to a 10 for me but some of the reviews I've read here and on other sites are CRUEL.

I would definitely not listen to the critic score(s) when it comes to this album.

Kurupt's debut was one of the most highly anticipated albums during this period of time, being removed from his Death Row days. Now joining A&M Records roughly a year afterwards, Kurupt really gives us the album that best characterizes himself.
