The 2 Live Crew has its moments and mixes in plenty of controversy-sparking obscenities on The 2 Live Crew Is What We Are, but an entire album can only survive on so much shock value before it gets old.
FAVORITE TRACK: We Want Some P***y
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Beat Box (Remix)
Production is great and it's a pretty standard 80s rap album in terms of flows and beats. The lyrics are pretty envelope pushing but I occasionally find Fresh Kid Ice's rapping lacking in comparison to Brother Marquis like on We Want Some Pussy as he's sometimes off beat, and I don't think it was on purpose.
