Musically there is a lot of depth in this, their second album. It is experimental, yet has a real maturity to it that belies the fact that this is still a band largely in their teens.
You’d be hard pressed to find a record as fun as Devour You.
The most memorable moments of the record ... are those when Starcrawler distinguish their work from the giants before them, sketching out instead their own growing sense of self.
Starcrawler seem less like they want to lead you astray and more like they're acting out in hopes of getting their parents' attention, which isn't always good for these songs.
i enjoyed this. it made me feel good. the emotion is there for a lot of songs, and I love their wild antics
With the exception of a couple songs, the melodies here are not strong, nor is the band's sound terribly original.
