The chugs are real on this record. It's a slick blend of Death Metal and Slam that feels very ahead of it's time. The deep growls grow like a fungus over the 90's mix which takes that classic crunch and crowded mid in the mix and makes it moshworthy.
Very decent brutal death metal with bass doing most of the work and is probably the only thing that actually stands out, the rest is consistently standard. Groovy and brutal but I'd lie if I said there isn't anything better out there when it comes to bdm
This guitar tone is DISGUSTING and I'm not really sure if that's a compliment or not. Was thinking of how much they love using these nasty ass fast palm muted riffs until I realized it's a staple of slam. The vocals are a bit too freaky for me to really love, and the riffing isn't too memorable for me personally, but maybe in a few years when I'm in my Slam era I'll come back and appreciate the influence this had on modern slam x3
