It gets a little repetitive about 2/3 of the way through. This is a cool combination of NY deathmetal style evoking tinges of Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, and Nile. The guitarwork is really not too flashy on here. No real solos, just groove after pummeling groove.
sees the hardcore influence of the NYDM scene bleed in harder and harder, Driven to Conquer is Internal Bleedings first sort of hardcore album. still brutal in nasty ways, but the slams have the hugest beatdown tinge, along with the vocals. it’s an impressive album, though i do like the angry gutterals a littleeee more.
The band rotates the slam elements out in favor of a more pulverizing beatdown approach. Most of the record actually just plays in a early flavor of brutal death though, that is solid in its own right but doesn't turn my head too much.
