Lol new EP from Simple Creatures is pretty okay. Very different than what they had offered on Strange Love, but nonetheless has the same vibe and rockness from what the band has built on their foundation.
While the songs are fine, they're not as engaging as what I had hoped and The Wolf is an absolute headache to listen to.
Favs: Special, One Little Lie, NVM, Thanks I Hate It
Definitely better than their debut, but still not worth going out of your way to hear. The Wolf was weird, and I really appreciate it for not sounding just like any other pop rock act you'll find on radio. Special is their best single they put out, catchy and definitely trying something new. Most of the other tracks are catchy, but I can't say there's anything I want to hear again.

After their first EP, I was curious if this would stand up to it in quality. Pleased to say that it does. They're pretty comparable in terms of quality. 'Special' has some solid lyrics and I love the riff or whatever that scraping is, don't fight me on that. 'One Little Lie' has such a great verse to it and 'The Wolf' gets its hands dirty, feeling like a continuation of the first track.
