FFO: Port Noir, Black Peaks, Arcane Roots
I'm an absolute sucker for this kind of music. This weird mesh of alternative rock with prog rock elements is right up my alley and is always fun to listen to. This one is definitely for fans of that scene of music and does a really solid job as an album. I can't really describe any further how much this was fun for me to listen to.

I really enjoyed this album - this is a recent progressive rock album that was done right. While the latter half of the album can get a bit overwhelming because of its emphasis on heavy technical aspects instead of melodies, it was a refreshing listen, with a myriad of unique sounds from the vocalist.
Favourites: Seismic, Altered state
This album sounds like someone combined vocal style and guitar work from Muse to more math rockesque rhythms and drumming. The voice of the singer is unique. I also hear a Finnish band von Hertzen Brothers in this also.
I feel like some of the tracks had good melodies and others concentrated on rhythmic changes. Those with good melodies were my favorite (Seismic, Blood Music) and when they had a good balance on melodies and math rock, like in Change of Skin, things slapped for me. But when ... read more
