An unusual, but somehow poignant and light-hearted project from the Nerds, Pink Cloud is their poppiest and best project to date. With songs like the title track and "Just Like That," I had a very fun time with this, albeit there are problems with the consistency and flow (especially with the last song not being the same vibe as the rest of the EP). I consider this to be their pinnacle. Yes, the project that goes in a completely different direction from their previous output is the pinnacle of their larger projects. The songwriting here is at some of the tightest the Nerds have ever had it, they've actually tried their best to make all these track sound good production-wise (except maybe the Fire In The Hole VIP).
Making extremely cheery music is a tightrope walk but the Nerds managed to pull it off basically flawlessly here.
