After a nice, diverse album with some charm back in 1977, Meat Loaf lost his voice and missed the opportunity to release his next album in 70s. So he returned back in 1981 with this wannabe Bat Out Of Hell album. Seriously, I can hear so many similar patterns in this one. And man, does it get generic often. Dead Ringer may not reach the illustrious heights of the “Bat Out of Hell” trilogy, but it still sees Meat Loaf at his flashiest and brightest en route to another fun and over-the-top production from start to finish.
