The songs here are all pretty and beautiful-sounding but the album as a whole can feel quite monotonous when listening to it all together. So many of the songs are about undying love, so it’s a relief when you hear songs like "Capri" which is about an unborn baby.
Still, you can’t deny how smooth the vocals here are and that the repetitive lyrics are from an artist who had just debuted, so it would be a pretty high bar to expect Colbie Caillat to be writing ... read more
