Fragile beats that hit hard sometimes, but usually stay in the shadow in the corner of the dancefloor. As intriguing as these sonic delusions may sound at first, there is nothing here that really stands still after a few listens. Objekt sounds like a less adventurous version of Arca and an over-produced Actress.

☆☆½ ~ I think this is a good/enjoyable album overall, but at the same time many passages are kinda irregular or simply boring.

Objekt pulls together a set of textureally impressive dance tracks that aren't all that fit for dancing. Most have a pretty clear pulse, but derail off to intense and disorienting parts similar to idm greats like Aphex Twin or Autechre. Flatland sounds like something contemporary yet futuristic, clearly defined by its influences, but still manages to push past them.
