Love the synths to Afterlife, I do generally wish it was just Elize's vocals and the harsh vocals to compliment, the three way attack is unique but probably my only real gripe with the band other than the choruses can run together on some of the b-sides, I've liked them a long time. Anyways, the metal is meant more for energy and pacing which it does well, really catchy track with fun synths and keys.

This is what I need in my pop-metal! God they should’ve been playing this on my rock station instead of all the overly moody schlock. This stuff has colors, bomb solos, complicated vocal harmonies, like if this doesn’t put a stupid smile on your face I don’t get you. Every song is a hit too! No fluff! This is what Linkin Park would’ve sound like if they were spinning Blind Guardian in between those Aphex Twin records, it’s that level.
hot take, but this album is so good. so so good. the constant switching of 3 different vocalists makes the album insanely engaging to me. where the album falters is some of the tracks being filler-esque, but it largely makes up for it with some insane highlights. the title track is the first metal song i ever properly paid attention to when i was 13 and it made me fall in love with the genre, and i still regard it as one of the best metal tracks i've ever heard.
