Why is this so squeaky? It sounds so amateur and ugly. The music at times just resorts to disgusting sounding high pitch shrills and a collage of ugly sounds.

[Album of the Day Challenge: Day 30]

This album has a very interesting historical context to it that could definitely work within the confines of the genre. The big problem is that the potential is left absolutely squandered in the first half. "Dharmic" and "1995" resort to really amateurish, stretched-out soundplay that sound like they barely had effort into creating an atmosphere, rather it's composed of sloppily-improvised synthesizers that obnoxiously change in volume. ... read more

ALBUM OF THE DAY CHALLENGE (DAY 30)

Idk, maybe I just don't really "get" noise and drone music but I found this extremely uninteresting. The first 3 tracks are uneventful to say the least, and they make up 30 minutes of this 37 minute album. The last 3 tracks are a bit better because they don't go on for 10 minutes each but they still end up feeling pointless with not much of a direction.
