While the first EMIGRATE album was full of curious and often cool ideas, "Silent So Long" is a focused, bouncing album with just enough pulls from and away RAMMSTEIN to give this band its own identity.

The whole package fits perfectly with Richard’s smooth vocals that are a world apart from Till Lindemann’s trademark husk, and then there’s the addition of Apocalyptica’s Mikko Siren on drums, who underpins the project’s slick, dark edge.

Ultimately, there is no unified direction, and the album comes off as a movie soundtrack, as the songs range so greatly in style that makes it difficult to maintain interest when listening from front to back.

Seven years after their debut, Richard Kruspe's project Emigrate released their second album. By 2014, Rammstein was on its 5th year of hiatus (releasing "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" in 2009) and doing shows / compilation albums only.
