A solid and fairly unique indie rock album here. Instrumentals range from good to great, with engaging song structures and addicting hooks. The lyrics are generally pretty good as well. My least favorite track is definitely Monster Man, as I feel that the lyrics and instrumentals are kind of clunky there. Outside of that one song, Burrows is an indie rock album that doesn't really do anything new or groundbreaking, but manages to stand on its own as a fun and quirky experience.
This is good indie. Caro have sparked up some relatively common indie music with some interesting structure, immersive sounds and just some beautiful moments.
Speaking of beautiful moments, 'Smorgasbord'. This is possibly the most transcendent song of the year with some mind enriching immersive sounds, soul unlocking chords, out of this world sound effects and delicate vocals.
