There are a few lackluster moments, but overall the outpouring of support and the sentiment of some of the lyrics are moving. Strait Up also features a remixed version of "Absent," the Strangelands soundtrack song that proved to be Strait's final recording with the band.

This is my 500th rating on this site, thank you so much for sticking with me for these past 500 ratings. This review is going to be a long one, so be prepared for this.
Strait Up is not your typical album, it's a celebration of Lynn Straits life. His crew got his friends and favorite singers to all collaborate in one big album. From Serj Tankian, Corey Taylor, and even Ozzy Osbourne. This album is a great tribute to a great singer.

I did really listen to every Snot release in one sitting. It really didn't take that long.
This is a really sweet tribute of nu metal / alt rock legends towards Lynn Strait. I like some songs other than the others because of personal preferences of the bands I like.
Of course I'm gonna love the songs that Serj Tankian, Jonathan Davis, Brandon Boyd, Corey Taylor and Mark McGrath of System Of A Down, Korn, Incubus, Slipknot / Stone Sour and Sugar Ray respectively.

RIP Lynn Strait
Strait Up is a tribute album dedicated to the lead singer of Snot who passed away in a car accident only a year after the band’s debut album in 1997. Seriously Snot was an act cut way too short and I wanted to see what they could have done if they had remained active.
