At first I thought “This is ok.” But on second listen I thought “It’s a little MORE than ok.”
I don’t have much to say. The album is too long for its own good and there's so much filler, but the core ideas and the fun “synth-punk” energy help this stand out as its own thing. one of the funnest listening experiences i've had in a while. Yourcodenameis:milo's sound is a blend of Post-Hardcore and Alternative Rock, leaning much heavier on the Post-Hardcore elements. The 2000s were a time when just about everyone in rock was going all out--this album dropped the same year as Frances the Mute, and in-between MCR's 2 most well-regarded albums. essentially, YCNI:M had to bring the heat, or they'd just fade into the endless void of stale rock obscurity. ... read more
