Rootkit's debut project is sadly a disappointment to me. His singles in the past have always been top-notch, but I can't help but get the feeling each track isn't as developed as it could have been. Rootkit's "oldschool" funky, deep house tracks have been replaced by a borderline tropical house, definitely brighter deep house cuts; they don't hit nearly as hard.

Quite a chill project! Rootkit set the bar really high with his Monstercat singles, and while this project didn't get there, what we got was at least quite the vibe. It was a low-passed version of a lot of his styles, so if you're in for a chill vibe, then here you go! I definitely was.

Favorite: Chronicles
Least Favorite: The Tunnel Man

Nothing particularly bad on here, it's just fairly bland. There's a few good songs that I come back to every now and then, but overall this sounds way more generic than some of Rootkit's earlier works and it's not the style of house music I tend to enjoy either.

Favs: Promise Me, Only Knew, Chronicles, Too Close
