one of my favourite examples of how an album can completely transform your perception of music during its runtime. this album is so formless and constantly tense, that it'll have you latching onto the tiniest sparks of anything resembling a melody. it would be easy just to pin U.S. Maple down as a rock band who has no idea what rock music is supposed to sound like (which i believe is what they were trying to become!), but i'd say the worth of this music comes from the interaction ... read more
very very strange sounding math rock record. experimental is an understatement, but the gira influence is kinda there. strangely relaxing, not much more to it
